ROOTED IN THE HILLS AND VALLEYS OF NORTHEAST INDIA, ADORR CELEBRATES THE MASTER ARTISANAL TECHNIQUES OF ANCESTRAL WEAVERS AND METALSMITHS.
The Loom and the Weave
The textiles of Northeast India are living records of tribal history. Handcrafted on traditional loin looms and backstrap looms, our fabrics are woven row-by-row with absolute precision. We weave with Muga silk—the naturally golden, shimmering thread found only in the Brahmaputra valley—alongside organic Eri silk (the silk of peace) and soft hand-spun cotton.
Every geometric motif, from the clean patterns of Nagaland to the intricate floral borders of Assam's Mekhela Chador, is hand-inserted without templates. A single panel can represent weeks of focused labor, resulting in an organic textile that drapes with elegant structure and breathes naturally.
Ancestral Metals
Beyond the loom, our craftsmanship extends to traditional metals and heirloom jewelry. Our silversmiths practice 'Kesh' filigree and gold-foil craftsmanship. Pendants like the crescent-shaped Jonbiri and the twin-pigeon Lokaparo are hand-chiseled from pure silver, filled with natural lac, and layered with 24-karat gold leaf, resulting in heirloom pieces that are incredibly light yet structurally robust.
Each jewelry piece is a conversation between past and present, requiring hours of meticulous bench-work, casting, and polishing. By keeping these traditional metal-working techniques alive, we offer distinctive, premium statements of cultural identity.

Sourcing Ancestral Yarn
Our process begins in the lush forests of Assam, where Eri and Muga silkworms are ethically reared. Muga, the rare golden silk that is naturally warm and shimmering, is harvested sustainably alongside wild organic cotton and forest grass fibers, establishing a pure foundation.
